Excellent opportunity for an experienced Office Manager to join a well-established company based in Cumbria!

This company is looking for a confident, dynamic, organised and enthusiastic person to help manage their office and support the operation of their Heritage Building & Construction business, as well as their other associated businesses on occasion.

The role will be primarily based near Ambleside, Lake District, but the company’s work sometimes includes the North of England, and Scotland.

We need help weekdays, 40 hours a week. Starting salary is £20,500 per year. Temporary six-month contract leading to a permanent position for the right person.

Experience and qualifications

Essential; Experience in an office management role and competence in a wide range of IT applications. Excellent telephone manner. Knowledge of the building trade, a distinct advantage.

Fantastic written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to organise own workload and use initiative. Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives.

High level of organisation. Efficient with thorough methods of working.

You will be a liaison point between us, the clients and the tradesmen/employees who work with us.

Knowledge of conservation, heritage and natural building and an interest in sustainability, ancestral health or the outdoors.

Knowledge of Wordpress, online and content marketing. Blog management.

Experience in human resource management.
